Before starting my career, I studied theoretical computer science at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. My expertise, coupled with my technology background, brought me the ability to translate technological innovation into business value.
I have over 20 years of industry experience advising senior management of large corporate and start-up organizations. My clients have included most of the major media companies as well as internet companies, telecommunication companies, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers and automotive companies in the United States and Europe.
Over the course of my career, I spoke regularly on international conferences across the globe. In my spare time I wrote numerous technical articles and influenced quite a big readers base as a blogger.
Co-founder and chief financial officer (CFO) of Axinom Group.
After successfully serving as Axinom’s chief executive officer (CEO) since 2001, I took over the chief financial officer responsibility starting in February 2017.
In close collaboration with my colleague Ralph Wagner, Axinom’s CEO, I am responsible for development of a financial and operational strategy of Axinom. In my daily work, I focus on administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, metrics tied to the overall strategy and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
One of my most important tasks is expanding Axinom’s investor and strategic partner relations.

I am Microsoft Regional Director since 2004. Established in 1993, the program consists of 150 of the world’s top technology visionaries chosen specifically for their proven cross-platform expertise, community leadership, and commitment to business results.
Back in 2008, I was elected as a “Top 10 of all Microsoft Regional Directors worldwide“.
International .NET Association (INETA)
I am one of the founders and acting President of INETA Europe (International .NET Association) and member of INETA Worldwide Executive Council. I started the first .NET User Group in 2002 in Bavaria, Germany, a forum for software developers and interested parties.
Most Valuable Professional (MVP)
I was awarded as Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for ASP.NET and Solutions Architecture continuously between 2003 and 2017.
Publishing Work on IT Architecture
I served as a Chief Editor of the German architecture portal “Architects Connection” at Microsoft between 2006 and 2010 working closely with Microsoft Architecture Strategy Team (AST) in Redmond. During this time, I was member of different advisory councils at Microsoft and wrote regularly for MSDN Europe magazine and other technical publications.
International Association of Software Architects (IASA)
After being member of Board of Directors for five years, resigned from his position in 2009 and joined the Advisory Board working closely together with CEO and President of IASA. I was the founder and Co-Director of IASA Europe together with Richard Hubert.
